Liviu B. Saimovici, M.D. began his formal medical training at the Medical University of South Carolina. Following his graduation, he completed an internship at New York Infirmary Hospital and an Ophthalmology Residency, including being appointed Chief Resident, at the prestigious Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington D.C. After his medical training, Dr. Saimovici became a Diplomate of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and entered private practice in New York City. Providing advanced medical and surgical eye care has been his mission since he began practicing 14 years ago. Dr. Saimovici is a strong advocate of preventative eye care and believes in regular comprehensive examinations with indirect ophthalmoscopy. He has a special interest in vision correction, including contact lenses and refractive surgery - both traditional Radial Keratotomy (R.K.) and Laser Vision Correction. He and other health care professionals at Advanced Eye Care Associates use the latest techniques and state-of-the-art equipment in diagnosing and treating all eye diseases including: cataracts, glaucoma, corneal problems and diabetic disease. Our entire staff is committed to delivering quality patient care in a very caring way. We recognize the need to treat each patient as a true individual with very special needs. Furthermore, we are proud to claim that almost everyone of our patients have been satisfied to continue as our patients and referred their friends and family to our office.
